Thanks to the generosity of two very kind parties we now have live tracking organised for the ride, so that you can visit the webpage any old time and check out exactly where we’re at.
Firstly, we would like to thank Salcom Technologies in NZ for kindly lending us a spot tracker, and for being at hand when I (predictably) couldn’t quite figure out how to set the page up.
Lisa at Salcom went to great trouble to get the unit to us just before the xmas break, thankfully it arrived just in the nick of time!
Secondly, we would like to thank Scott Morris of Trackleaders.com fame, for formatting our tracking data to appear nicely on a map. Though we are bound to deviate from the route as we find out what we’re capable of, and as we test the feasibility of our plans (we’ve deviated already), it’s a great feature to be able to click onto the web page and see live updates of our position.
